Fourteen-year-old Joey Castilla’s life changes dramatically when an out-of-body experience leaves him floating above his own body. But instead of dying, the schoolboy awakens somewhere else—a Higher Dimension—a non-physical realm beyond Earth, where he meets Gideon Fellows, his Spirit Guide, who reveals an extraordinary truth.

The Creados, an inter-dimensional hybrid race, have discovered that humans possess something far more precious than they realise. And they are secretly harvesting it to power their craft and mine Psyche-16—a mineral-rich asteroid. Humanity has no idea what is being taken—or what its loss could mean for their future. But Joey does and is given a mission—stop the Creados. Save humanity.
But it isn’t Quite That Simple
Returned to his body and armed with a completely different understanding of reality, Joey can no longer see his life in the same way. He starts questioning the systems around him and the relentless pressure to achieve, consume, conform and become what society expects him to be. And the more he questions, the more uncomfortable the people around him become. His family dismiss him as a conspiracy theorist and when his school begin looking for a medical explanation for his strange behaviour, the schoolboy is forced to confront an unsettling possibility: What if the greatest obstacle to his mission isn’t the Creados at all—but his lack of self-belief.
The Signs Are Everywhere
Just when Joey begins doubting his quest, Gideon and the Higher Dimension start finding ways to reach him. Repeating numbers. Strangers appearing at precisely the right moment. Shamanic symbolism. Gut feelings he can’t explain. Coincidences so improbable they become impossible to ignore. One clue leads to another. And another. Until Joey begins to wonder whether life’s coincidences might not be coincidences at all.
But he isn’t the only one watching. A Creado has followed him back to Earth. And it intends to make sure Joey never completes his mission.
Now the teenager must decide whether he has the courage to trust what he’s discovering, question what is seen as ‘normal’ and follow the clues wherever they lead. Because he is beginning to understand something far bigger than his mission. Perhaps finding your destiny isn’t about knowing exactly where you’re going, it’s about having the courage to follow the next destinata.

Perhaps you worry about what other people think, struggle to say no, stay in situations that make you unhappy, doubt yourself, fear making the wrong decision, or keep repeating behaviours you know aren’t good for you.
These chapters invite you to gently explore what may be underneath those struggles and understand yourself on a deeper level. This is where Destinata becomes more than Joey’s story—it becomes a space for your own self-discovery, helping you reconnect with and embody your Higher Self: the wisest, most loving and courageous expression of you.
Why I Wrote Destinata…
I wrote Destinata for people who have always sensed that there might be more to life than what they can physically see.
For much of my life, I have been fascinated by spirituality, consciousness, psychology and fear—and particularly by what happens when we begin questioning the beliefs and expectations we’ve inherited. Through my work, I’ve also met many people going through profound periods of personal or spiritual change. Some felt excited by what they were discovering. Others felt confused, isolated or frightened. Some simply struggled to explain why the life they were living no longer felt like their own. Again and again, I became fascinated by the same question:
How do you learn to trust yourself when the path that feels right for you doesn’t necessarily make sense to everybody else?
I wanted to explore that question through a story. And particularly through the eyes of a young person who hasn’t yet become completely conditioned by the adult world.
That’s how Joey was born. Destinata allowed me to take psychology, spirituality, consciousness and some of the more extraordinary ideas I’ve encountered throughout my own journey and put them somewhere they could be explored freely.
I’m not asking you to believe everything you read. Quite the opposite. I’m inviting you to remain curious. To question. To think for yourself. And perhaps to consider possibilities you haven’t considered before.

If you’ve started questioning the world around you… If you’ve ever wondered whether there might be more to consciousness than your physical body… If you’ve experienced coincidences that seemed almost too perfectly timed… If you’ve found yourself questioning the path society told you to follow… Or if something deep inside you simply knows that there must be more to your life… then I wrote this story for you.
You don’t need to call yourself spiritual. You don’t need to agree with everything in it. And you certainly don’t need to have life figured out. You only need curiosity, an open mind and the courage to question what you think you know. Because sometimes an awakening doesn’t begin with an answer. It begins with a question you can no longer ignore…
